Synergy

An art, decorating and travel book combined all into one great visual delightful book. Of all the Taschen decorating books this one has the most combination of artistic elements beginning with an overview of Tuscany with Edouard Boubat's B&W photographs and then profiling the homes of several artists who live there such as Sandro Chia and others. Highly recommended.

Best of both Worlds

If you love the Impressionists and gardens, then this book would be a nice addition to your library. Very comprehensive with indepth text and history along with beautiful images. Hard to decide if you want to go to the garden or the studio after browsing.

The Quiet Painter

This is really the only book of Morandi's paintings that is shelf worthy. The quality of the reproductions is acceptable and there is a large selection of still lifes and landscapes that represent his oeuvre extensively. I would recommend this book for the serious scholar and advanced art connoisseur. In the current world of in your face art Morandi is a quiet artist showing us that there is a place where we can find solace and peace and this is his special gift.
