They were tight when working the jaws to open for the hog ring. After using on some 100 plus hog rings they worked better. Working on vette seats I modified the nose to a more pointed end to penetrate by perching the seat cover wire, through the thick foam then two layers of burlap to lock in the coated wire.
If I would have been working on a standard automotive seat cover they would have worked perfect. The shape of the handle and length provides good leverage when needed.
I would buy another pair when I wear these out. Because of the design and working quality it might not be two soon.
