Protective coating flakes upon Scraping

So I recieved my grids in the mail promptly, they were nice and shiny and promising. After the first use and first cleaning the shiny coat started flaking and the bare metal was showing. Also the meat quickly and abnormally stuck to the grid causing my burgers to peel apart during the spatula process. I expected the protective coating to last longer than the first use considering I had my factory grids for over a year and a half..

Great heat dispersion

This item worked exactly how I anticipated it to work. The only downfall I can see to these is the raised venting slits on the tops of the Heat plate is going to Hinder my ability to scrape the heat plates clean.
