Decent yet noisy
I switched over from a Noctua DH-14 air cooler for my 7700K knowing that it is really hard to match it in performance. The Pro does a decent job, the fans are just obnoxiously loud at 2400 RPMs. If you know anything about 7700K chips, you’ll know that these fans will be ramping up most of the time to keep it cool.
Ran prime 95 for a half hour at 4.5 GHz (pre delid):
Noctua 77C
H100i Pro 82C
Post delid:
H100i Pro
70C at 4.8 GHz
Note: if you have a hot chip and delid it, the fans don’t ramp up nearly as often which makes it a decent buy after that.
