Great Kit But....
0 of 1 found this helpful This is one of Tamiya's better curbside kits. The Fit is excellent and the scale is very accurate. However, one issue with this kit is the need to do significant masking to properly paint the black-out areas as they appear on the real car. If you are willing to spend the time to do the masking work this kit is a real winner. Otherwise, you will need to settle for an inaccuracy in the build up of the car.

A Welcome Reissue - Some Minor Issues
This is a re-issue of the old Revell White COE Sinclair truck from the 1950's - 1960's . The molds have held up reasonably well but some very minor flash is evident. The biggest issue with this item is the sink-marks and holes in many of the parts. These require filling and re-work. The fit on this kit was never really that great even when first issued over 50 years ago. Wit some patience, sanding, cutting and fitting this can be made into a nice model. Recommended --- if you have the patience and skills to deal with the age and minor deterioration of the parts.

Convert to Proto:48 With Some Work
This is a typical Atlas offering..... two rail initially but good for three rail if you need it....
My particular approach is to disassemble this unit completely and re-build it into a Proto:48 piece. This takes some significant effort and of course serious cash outlay for Proto:48 trucks and other items like a complete under-carriage rebuild.....replace the grabs with scale size wire and NBW castings.....many other changes as well.
Overall: a great starting point for a Proto:48 "Scratch-Bash" build up...
