Good for one year then it stops working
I've bought 3 of these in 5 years, they work really well for around a year and then the electronic parts die as they have cheap electronic parts, so therefore infrared stops working. All the cat flap mechanism continues to work so I have to buy a whole replacement and therefore I now have 3 spare ones, though the only reason I use this make, as I have made a hole in the wall to fit this brand, and I cant bring my self to make a larger hole for the chip flap, or a superior make which is what i should do...basically this is a just stop gap!
Though my question is why does Pet Safe not make this item £10-£30 more expensive and use higher quality parts, instead of creating constant landfill.....Though i have the same question for everything made out of plastic I suppose!
