Big heavy tripod for big heavy photos!
This is a massive tripod, which is excellent for the often windy conditions in New Mexico. While it's a bit heavy to carry too far off-road, the stability is well worth it for short hikes. If you can find one of these used, I highly recommend making the investment; it should last you a lifetime.

Nice basic speedlight.
This is a good basic flash unit that far exceeds the capability of the built in unit on my Nikon 1 V3. It has excellent tilt range for direct, ceiling bounce, and rear bounce. It would be worthy of five stars if the head swiveled, but it does not. This makes vertical shots problematic in most situations requiring flash, but not directly at the subject. I still recommend the SB-N7 if you have a compatible Nikon 1 camera, just be aware of its limitations. I have personally had very good results with it.

Works fine, but maybe not how you expect.
This adapter fits into the proprietary shoe on certain Nikon 1 cameras. It does not however convert the shoe for use with standard Nikon speedlights or other equipment that is powered by or communicates with the camera. It only allows you to mount accessories such as microphones, that just need a place to physically attach to the camera. While the description says as much, it may not be clear to some buyers. An adapter that allows the use of standard accessories would be infinitely more useful.
