Lloytron Wireless Doorbell Chime Door + Security PIR Motion Sensor Plug-in MIPS
    Dec 29, 2018
    Good idea but flawed
These are advertised as being use able for checking people entering shops or garages etc. Well good luck with that. I have two and both pirs are badly affected by the smallest of draughts. To the point that they constantly ring. One of the Pir sensors gets triggered if light hits it. So what's the point? There is no adjustment permitted on these so you can't filter out anything. I havent tried the bell push.
WIFI USB Wireless NETWORK ADAPTER for XBOX 360 LIVE & PS3 UK STOCK
    May 10, 2016
    great but not perfect
These are fantastic, so good I now have three. But like many things they aren't perfect. They have three key modes, repeater, router and access point. These are sold as being a replacement foir an Xbox WiFi adapter. Well while they can do this task it isn't without its troubles. Using the seller provided instructions you will be setting up a WiFi repeater. So if the device is close to your router be prepared for slow access speeds for other wifi devices when in uses. This is because it swamps the channel you main router uses. In testing I connected this to a android set top box and red up Netflix, from that moment no laptops or phones could access my router until I switched off the device. A. Better solution is to put pocket router in bridge mode, this is found in the access point settings screen with the side switch on AP. Once you do this you lose the config screens so will be unable yto fix minor config errors out fully wiping the device ung the factory reset button. I am on 50Mb broadband currently. Speed tests showed the pocket repeater capable of 20Mb in bridge mode and 50Mb in access point mode. Repeater mode is again in the mid 20'sMb. Real world testing in bridge mode showed the Xbox capable of playing online games though has problems joining some games online, viewing Netflix, browsing the store etc perfectly. On Android the story is different, web browsing is perfect, play store is perfect as is loading updates, Netflix is unusable. For some reason Netflix. In android Netflix will not load properly and if you get lucky enough to get onto the selection screen be prepared for a 3-5 minute wait for a movie to start. In comparison when on cat5 wiring Netflix is instantaneous. Its a similar story in repeater mode (following the supplied instructions) but you all wipe out all other WiFi access for other devices when on Netflix. Funny thing though the Xbox doesnt seems to have the same effect on signals. Maybe android Netflix is swamping the network. Would I buy another, well I have three now, and most are unused, so no I probably wouldnt buy one again or recommend them. One was running as an access point to extend my wifi upstairs until recently, it did this extremely well, and the only one that is currently in use is in repeater (bridge) mode attached to an Xbox, though this is about to be replaced for a genuine Xbox wifi adapter, the other isn't in use yet as it was bought for the android box and it constantly forgets its settings. These are heavily sold on Ebay as alternative cheap xbox adapters but in truth they swamp your network and dont have full access to Xbox services so it is hard to recommend them when the official adapter is only £10 now
