Great little book.
1 of 1 found this helpful I come from a different persuasion - conservative Presbyterian (we do not ordain women) - but I absolutely loved this book. This author is deep! I love that she is so devoted to Jesus and to the (true) church. I actually bought several copies to give away - one to my associate pastor. I highly recommend it. A joy to read and learn from.

Not my preferred version.
The NLT may be good for personal reading but it is difficult to follow along with in public reading when the other Bible version is different. For example, if the version being read in public or congregational setting is an ESV or NIV, the NLT will often render one verse as several sentences in place of one. Also, what the publisher of the NLT refers to as a "reference Bible" does not mean it is truly cross-reference and this is a handicap for study. Nevertheless, I would have to say this particular NLT is a good value for the price to use in individual private reading and, of course, the content is always compelling.
