Buy it!

Our grills clear coat started peeling off? So instead of trying to pay for repainting, I came across this!! Really “cleaned” up the look of the vehicle!!! Fit and finish are superb! My Wife loves it. Easy to put on, comparatively speaking.

THE kit for hardwiring

Made the "hardwiring" of my detector easier. (just don't get caught in VA with it hard mounted, who wee, now THAT IS a story) with the correct plug in and wire tie ins.

Great unit - HORRIBLE map update

The unit itself seems to be a nice unit. I'm still trying to figure out how to look up locations. I'm still doing something wrong due to the fact that 9 times out of 10, I get an "error"message. I'm really sure that that is a "learning curve" issue. Now, when you first get the unit, you are supposed to register it and update the unit. Holy crud, that is when it went from functional, to disfunctional!!!!!!!! I even updated my older Garmin at the same time. Big mistake. It cannot find an address to a home we have owned for 20yrs and has been there for 50yrs!!! Before the "update" all was well. After the update, when you use it even for the simplest routes, better have your off road truck, camping gear, and charged cell phone handy!!! Because you are going on the drive of your life!!! I have called customer support and lodged a complaint. Customer support was very nice even though they could not fix an entire messed up download. My advice, DO NOT UPDATE until you find out that they have fixed all the "bugs" in the current nightmare!!!!
