Good simple centrifuge.
Runs smoothly after light oiling and seems well balanced. Takes 15ml round bottomed tubes and packs away in a drawer easily. Quite heavy and large so perhaps not ideal to carry about on a field trip but at least you wouldn't have to worry about power. Adequate for my casual non critical use but not a full spec laboratory job - neither is it as expensive or bulky.
You can find these in Edwardian catalogues so they still make them for a reason.

Good solid dish
Very well made heavy and solid. No problems with sticking or distortion.
10" is the diameter at the top, the base is about 8 1/2" so it releases easily and there is no problem breaking the crust off the outside either.
Would happily buy another if I needed one

Good simple product
1 of 1 found this helpful Aluminium so fairly soft but does the job well enough. Complies with the RMS specification so not a large reserve of material to trim away and difficult to cut a lead in without the equipment and skills needed to make one in the first place! But as I said accurate and well finished - just don't rely on customising it afterwards.
Good company to deal with too.
