4 of 4 found this helpful I upgraded from my Dyson V7 to the Dyson Outsize and I couldn’t be happier. The dirt bin/canister is a lot bigger and I went from having to empty once (sometimes twice) when vacuuming my home to only emptying the canister when I’m finished vacuuming. The amount of dirt/debris this picks up is ridiculous. I have 2 dogs (one is a husky who sheds more than any animal I’ve ever owned), a cat, a cockatiel, a hedgehog and 5 kids. Our home is prone to messes. This vacuum keeps things tidy. It’s convenient with TWO (easily interchangeable) battery packs and no cords! We recently cut the cord with our cable services and who knew cutting the cord with a vacuum would be just as satisfying?! The Outsize is heavier than the V7. If you do not own a Dyson stick vacuum you may find it odd that there is no on switch but it requires you to continuously hold down the trigger button to operate the vacuum. At first this feature was a flaw but when using a battery powered device you want to save as much battery life as possible and simply releasing the trigger saves time and battery life than locating and toggling an on off switch/button. I quickly adapted to this feature.
Emptying the bin is also easier than with my Dyson V7. The Dyson V7 requires a pulling motion on a lever at the top of the vacuum to release the dust bin opening (on the bottom) and it wasn’t always a smooth opening process. Pulling from the top to release dust at the bottom sometimes caused some debris to miss the trash can. It’s just a bit more difficult to handle and aim. However the outsize has totally fixed this issue. You slide (rather effortlessly) a lever down toward the trash can opening the bottom lid to release the debris.
I also like how all of the buttons, levers and anything you would need to push, pull or toggle is colored red. This is something Dyson does for most models. Anything colored is user operated. It just makes things easier and more convenient.
The brush head is a lot larger than the V7 as this Outsize vacuum boasts the largest vacuum head on a stick vacuum (to date 11/2021). It’s power and suction will amaze you. It’s your typical plug in, standup vacuum but boasts more power, more functionality and no cord!
The only cons I have are: the weight of this for a stick vacuum can be a bit overwhelming to some people. It doesn’t really bother me but my wife has said she wishes it were lighter. I guess it’s the trade off for a bigger dust bin and stronger motor than your typical smaller cordless vacuum. Also, the trigger continuously needing to be pressed in (as stated earlier) can also be cumbersome but it’s something I, personally, have quickly adapted to.
In conclusion: 10/10 I recommend this vacuum to anyone searching for a vacuum or stuck deciding between two vacuums. Look no further this is the vacuum you want. It will outperform any stick or standup vacuum you already own.

Talk about refurbished. This was spotless! Clean. I’m sure most of the pieces were brand new. It was shipped as if it was a brand new product. Absolutely thrilled with the over product. Can’t believe it’s refurbished. For the price, can’t be beat. 5 stars!
