Long sought after IP65 dimmer is a dream come true.
I have been waiting for years for this product to come on the market. It is small, fully encapsulated and rated IP65. I had it underwater for ten minutes with no effect. The dimming is very smooth, 5% to 100%. This 5% is standard on LED dimmers due to pulse width modulation methods. But there is a way to get below 5%. First dim up high, then dim down slowly, going down to 1% if your hand is steady. The knob is plastic and pulls off. Dab a bit of Silicon inside to glue it in place, if your application warrants. But the shaft is standard size, so any knob can replace the original one. This dimmer is the ultimate solution for us, we make expedition and mission critical quality LED lanterns. If this dimmer goes too deep in water or for too long, it may flood. So we wire in a bypass switch to 100% on, in case of dimmer failure in the field. My only complaint with the dimmer is the price. But is worth it.
