My favorite musical
Although I have owned an audio tape of another cast performing "Joseph" for many years, it was definitely time to upgrade to CD. I love the play on various musical styles and lyrics. What's NOT to love about Donnie Osmond???

Powerful and moving story about a little known time in US history
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the story of two amazing and resilient young women -- one in the present and the other mostly during 1929 - 1939. Most of us do not know that for over 75 years, orphaned children in New York City were actually gathered up and taken to the countryside in the Midwest in order to find new families for these children. Niamh, who became Dorothy and later Vivian, was one of these orphans taken to Minnesota. She was repeatedly betrayed by those who took her in, but finally befriended by a beloved teacher. Finally her life improved and was eventually successful -- to all outward appearances.
Then her life intersects in 2011 with Molly's. Molly is about to "age out" of the foster care system, and she too has been betrayed by most of the adults who were entrusted with her care. Hiding behind her Goth persona, she pretends indifference, but she longs for someone to see who she really is.
Molly comes to work for Vivian (formerly Niamh) and slowly they learn each other's stories and find unique ways to help each other in their emptiness.

Giant step in tech for me
