It might have been good when new....
It was probably a good timer when new. But it was shipped with the battery installed. A very old battery, which was very corroded. And the battery contacts and terminals in the timer were so corroded that it could not be cleaned enough to make it function, even with a new battery. I worked on it for a long time and finally gave up and threw it in the trash!
