Much better than the 2017 Macbook Pros.

For either the 13 or 15 inch Macbook Pro's Retina model, you literally get the same performance as these newer models nowadays. Yes, it might have higher specs but when you run tests on it, its just slightly faster, just a hairline faster. Plus, it will be way cheaper getting a really lightly used macbook pro retina vs around 2k for a 15 inch macbook pro.
