It actually works
After a little fussing with the setup ... I don't read the instructions until I can't figure out the setup on my own ... it works perfectly. Raised the signal in the back bedroom, from -70dBm to -40dBm.

It does the job it's suppose to do.
It's a switch and, as opposed to a hub, actually makes the transfers between the router and the nodes on the switch a little faster. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that it cannot be wall mounted. Actually my fault for not researching better but it does make this switch a little less flexible as far as where you can put it.
