Pink Panther Movie Collection A Gem
1 of 2 found this helpful As funny as the day each of the movies were originally released and looking better thanks to Blu-ray, I recommend "The Pink Panther Film Collection Starring Peter Sellers" to everyone who loves to laugh and appreciates the glamour, intelligence and slapstick of Blake Edwards at his best. It's sophisticated silliness the whole family can enjoy again and again.

"Cash On Demand" Entertaining Heist Thriller!
Perhaps one of the lesser known Hammer movies featuring Peter Cushing and Andre Morell, this is a tense psychological heist film that owes much to Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." Cushing plays a very Scrooge-like bank manager whose branch is cleverly held up, just two days before Christmas, by Morell who poses as an insurance investigator. Though clearly the product of a modest movie budget, even for its time, the production values amply support the telling of the story. Powerhouse Films did a fine region free Blu-ray transfer of this movie and if there is anything disappointing about this product at all, it is its limited availability: it can only officially be acquired by purchasing the Powerhouse Films Indicator Series Limited Edition 4-disc set, "Hammer Volume Two: Criminal Intent."

"The Invaders" Remains A Unique Contribution To TV Entertainment
An often overlooked cousin to such TV classics as "The Twilight Zone," "The Outer Limits" and, in another era, "The X Files," is "The Invaders," a saga about hostile extraterrestrials secretly attempting to take over the earth and the fight put up to stop them by one man, David Vincent, played superbly by Roy Thinnes. Each episode mixes adventure, paranoia, conspiracy and special effects to create two seasons of what remains a unique, dark and very engaging television program. All 43 uncut episodes are available in this 12 disc collection--with nominal extras--which looks and sounds quite good and the show retains its ability to entertain in a wonderfully unnerving way.
