It works surprisingly well
1 of 1 found this helpful This replaces an older and much heavier solar charger used in my RV. I replaced one of the new unit's connectors with an SAE plug-in compatible with the "Solar-on-the-Side" plug-ins, making sure the polarity was accounted for. PROS: It works as advertised and is compact when folded and fits into the RV's storage bin. The charge controller is quite easy to program and use. CONS: It is nearly impossibe to use the "legs" to stand the unit at a tilt. Would I recommend it? Yes, especially if you can make a few tweeks to fit your particular application.
