Okay for Chit Chat, but not for Critical Communications.
It does not RX or TX as well as the original antenna. After a lot of transmitting from different locations, I determined it was not worth the risk of missing critical communications. The size and workmanship quality is fine and did serve the purpose of being more comfortable to wear on my person. But I was clearly limited as to what I was hearing and which repeater towers I could or could not communicate too.

Perfect for me!
Just what I needed, it works great with both my XPR 5550 and 5550e. Now I don't have to fiddle around trying to find the connector on the back of the radio all the time!
