A reliable old "Soldier".
The Victorinox Pioneer is the civilian version of the retired Soldier model the Swiss Army used from 1961 till 2008. There's a reason they used this knife for so long and why the Pioneer is still in production. It is a robust and infinitely useful tool. It is very thin and easy to carry in a pocket. The tool set is minimal but very functional. It includes a 2 3/4" main blade, a bottle opener with large flathead Screwdriver, a can opener with small flathead driver (that will work in most Phillips) and an awl. The scales are aluminum and will provide decent traction and will show little wear even after many years of use.
This tool is a timeless classic. I believe everyone would do well to own one of these. To those of us who are knife collectors, no collection could possibly be complete without at least one Pioneer in it.
I cannot recommend highly enough.

Perfect replacements.
These appear to be perfect replacements for Victorinox scales. They do not seem to be reproductions but legitimate factory scales. A little pricey, but they sure do bring an old knife back to life.
