Product is good but not long lasting

Samsung Gear Fit2 is a fairly good product but its biggest weakness is that it is not long-lasting, especially if you accidentally wet it even briefly, although Samsung claims it to be somewhat waterproof. My Gear Fit2 conked off in less than six months. Another irritating problem was the software. The device would not sync with Samsung S7 mobile but curiously synced with my old iPhone 6 leading to an anomalous situation for me where I had to keep my old phone also along just to sync from Gear Fit2. Now I have replaced it with Fitbit2.
