    Good power with easy start
This Briggs an Stratton engine is compatible with my Troy Bilt mower. There may be slightly cheaper vertical shaft small engines out there. But I have not been able to find one that would bolt the blade from my mower to the shaft of the new engine. Therefor, this engine is my top choice because I don't want to deal with the frustration of unfit installation. This engine is direct fit with very easy installation. I just had to detach the wire linkage and the blade from my old engine. Unbolt the three bolts that are securing the old engine. Then bolt on the new engine, attach the wire linkage in place and finally attach the blade to the new engine shaft. I added right amount of SAE 30 engine oil and gas up the mower with clean 87 Octane. Started the engine up a few minutes at a time for a few times before I started to mower my lawn in a light use mode. This new engine starts on the very pull each and every time. The best thing is, no prime needed.
