Does the job... but would consider another choice in future
It does the job... it's cheaper than the original part it replaces, but it has a couple of issues.
- The fit and dimensions are very general. Assembling needed the use of a file and a drill for the the mounting hole and the fuel pump access... with risk to damage the new part before use. Not something I expected on a new part.
- The fuel cap does not 100% seal and leaks during use. Firstly from the hose, which I trimmed and 'shrunk' to fit. Now from the seal.
- The increased volume means a bigger tank than standard... which leads to some panel fitment difficulties. Not impossible, but definitely more tricky than before (this is the compromise for the added capacity). The extra 'bulb' on the top also ruins the look of the bike. It's very practical but not very aesthetically pleasing.
Considering it is replacing a damaged original item and is a lot less cost... it is overall OK.
Not great, but OK.
