Attwood Battery Adapter Clips Hold Magnet
The Attwood Battery Adapter is advertised as 'marine', but the clips hold a magnet. They are iron alloy, shellacked to look like copper so they will have a high resistance and corrode rapidly in a marine environment--and the shellac on the edges of the clips would interfere with conductivity when one attempts to clip them on to battery terminals. Are all Attwood items of this poor quality??

Good Basic GPS, No Maps
1 of 1 found this helpful It's still the best basic handheld GPS around, for its easy intuitive user interface. It looks good, feels good, and is rugged and waterproof. But the key word here is 'basic'.
There are no good maps available for it, and there never were. There's a basemap on it, which is way too coarse to navigate with. Mapsend maps are available, but the detail and coverage are nowhere near in place on them either.
The greedy manufacturer kept the map software proprietary, refusing to allow the free NOAA charts onto these GPSs. With that he ruined a good product.

No instructions, complex
