Simple and compact tool that will do the work just fine! It's also sturdy and well insulated
But, white plastic is highly visible and will get yellow; a black version would've been nice!

An amazing engine that MUST be in any japan-themed railway model collection.
Incredibly detailed model that can handle sharp turns. All six axles are powered for maximum traction. I'm particularly a fan of the headlight which is quite bright and the details on the bed.
Also this EF57 comes with multiple numbers, the only regret here is that there's no number 7 which is the only unit not scrapped.
Kato amazes me as always for it's models quality and its traction system which is simple to maintain and get parts and provides wonderful traction.
Also it comes with dummy couplers if you're not planning to couple on one side and want the style.
Looks good next to a Krokodil, if you wish for that museum feeling on your railroad. Looks also good enough to flirt with your tin collectors.

Highly recommanded! A real piece of art for all N Scale japanese themed tracks!
1 of 1 found this helpful It's an awesome piece of art. The details are amazing, the build quality is tippy top ;-) and the packaging is wonderful. It rides very smoothly. The linking system for the cars is very tiny but incredibly stiff. The details inside the cars are also nice eventhough it's not painted (I'll probably do that at a later point in time). There are tons of videos from Kato to help you maintain your Train Suite Shiki-Shima.
