Sport Fury Great Reproduction Gas Tank
This is a great reproduction of the original and for years reproduction gas tanks were not available for C Body Sport Fury. I cleaned and sealed my original tank but it had so many dents and creases in it that it looked terrible, then it suffered some severe damage while stored outside of car in garage. This reproduction is a great replacement and I highly recommend it.
Couple observations;
The sending unit which I already have, the locking ring and gasket does not work with this tank, I'll have to investigate that situation.
The seam weld of the reproduction looks identical to original, what is different is outside this seam weld the two halves of the gas tank have a few small spot welds. So this leaves a bit of a moisture/crud trap all the way around tank. This is different than original and I plan on painting tank and look at sealing that area between the two halves of gas tank.
