About
My father and I have been in the IT management and consulting fields since 1990 and 1997, respectively. Occasionally, we come across things that neither we nor our clients need, so I find them new homes through ebay.

Great affordable ultrasharp
1 of 1 found this helpful I am rating the picture 4 stars because it has a little less good viewing angle than the typical Ultrasharp, but still on par or better than most IPS panels. Only a premium (expensive) monitor would get 5 stars here. For the price, it is right.
The low-star reviews for this product are misleading and the users are using HDMI port and not fully informed. This monitor's HDMI port is intended for hooking to a cable TV box or gaming console. It does have power-save issues through HDMI, but that is just a quirk of the technology, no fault of this monitor. The displayport (DP) connections are the best and easiest way to go, and the monitor comes with the expensive DP cables INCLUDED! Worst case, you'll have to adapt DVI to DP, but that's an easily found adapter.
Anyway, it has a VERY thin bezel which is very impressive-looking and makes the monitor appear less bulky while maintaining that huge screen size. All the typical Ultrasharp features are there (USB hub, easy controls, full tilt/height/swivel stand).

Does what it's supposed to.
This is a well-designed accessory. keeps the filter in the vac from clogging so quickly, much easier to empty than having to deal with the filter every time. If you're using your vac for floor pickup, hurry up and buy this asap.
I also use my vac as a dustbuster for the car, and this attachment can't really be used in that scenario. minor annoyance, but it is what it is. If Makita could redesign this to sit up beside the main collection chamber, then maybe it could be added and still used as a "dustbuster".

exact replacement part
Only issue is price, and availability in US. I would give it 5 stars if they had redesigned the replacement part to avoid failure, but it's just an exact replacement. So, at least I can fix the $100 brush roll with a $20 part - that's not so bad, but I expect it will break in the same place again, hopefully not very soon =)
Symptom that I needed this is the fluffy brushroll had a wobble where it made noise bumping against the floor on every rotation. The plastic housing on the end of the bearing had snapped off and was not repairable, but this part took care of the issue.
