Works great but can be annoying - as it should be
I did NOT get this for a Tahoe or a Suburban but since I did not see a C2500 Silverado listed, I took a chance. Maybe I did not read the ad closely enough but either way, it works just fine. This truck has not had a chime in it since I bought it about 10 years ago so did not know just what to expect. It reminds me about the key in the ignition and the seat belts but is quiet when I leave the head lights on and I attribute that either to me not paying attention (i just put it in about a week ago) or that is just the way the truck's computer works. I mean it is a Chevy (my Ford does remind me about the headlights!) - of course the Ford is about 14 years newer too! I would recommend this chime to anyone who is in need of one.

Good but not as strong as I wanted
It is not as strong as I had hoped for. I still have to use both hands to lift my tailgate but it is much easier than it was. The end of the torsion bar that gets inserted into the tailgate has a tendency to work it's way out of the hole a little and needs to get pushed back in from time to time.

Non-standard threads
The threads on the nipples are not metric or SAE. I think they are some kind of British thread. With some ingenuity and a little persuasion my mechanic and I got it to work but the right threads would have made it a lot easier.
