FIT TO PRINT NADJA RHYMES Doll Integrity Toys 2021 The NU. FACE COLLECTION NRFB
Oct 10, 2024
Can't stop looking at her
Integrity Toys has a reputation for pioneering upscale but collector-affordable fashion dolls of a much higher caliber than play-line dolls, and they did not disappoint with Nadja Rhymes "Fit to Print." This doll is now out of production and very difficult to find at a reasonable price, but I got lucky and was able to get this doll NRFB. I was very happy to get this doll - or any version of the updated Nadja face sculpt. Having fallen out of upscale doll collecting for several years, I have still admired the Nadja updated face sculpt for some time. (I think this face sculpt is also used for Colette and Ayumi dolls.) The face sculpt is distinctive yet versatile for nearly any skin tone and hair combination. The body is of course the latest Fashion Royalty version with statuesque runway model dimensions. While I am eager to obtain the earlier release blonde version in the pink-print outfit, I am quite pleased with this worthy second edition in purple. Nearly everything about this doll was impressive. The packaging design and presentation are superior - I had almost forgotten the thrill of opening a brand new upscale fashion doll. The doll's understated makeup allows the beauty of the face sculpt to shine through. And the simple yet bold high ponytail in blonde-brown gives this doll a regal and commanding look. The hair quality is superb, by the way. The stunning casual-dressy outfit creates an overall cohesive look with slimline lightweight cotton-blend pants and matching long-sleeve crop shirt featuring a front bodice cutout topped by a matching neckline statement bow. While the bold purple and white houndstooth print pattern could easily become too much and overpower - especially with a shopping tote in the same fabric - there are no worries that this doll will get lost in the collection crowd. Despite the boldness of the look, it's a great match for the doll and presents an overall look that is "WOW." My only problem was the shoes. While they were expertly designed and put together, they were a nightmare to get on the doll because of the tight toe strap and the severe arch of the doll's feet. I struggled for some time and finally resorted to sliding the strap over the toes using bent tweezers and bent needle-nose plyers. I have not tried to remove the outfit or redress the doll, so I cannot speak regarding the ease of taking off and putting on the clothing. However, I have become accustomed to the fact that tight-fitting clothing using tiny metal hook closures in loops of thread is going to create difficulty for collectors who do not possess a modicum of manual dexterity. Overall, despite the shoe snafu, I am super excited to be able to add this doll to my collection and can't stop looking at her!
