I purchased a Mishimoto fan expecting a ...
I purchased a Mishimoto fan expecting a noticeable step up in quality compared to the budget fan I had previously bought from Biltema (a local Swedish parts supplier).
However, upon inspection, I was surprised to find that both fans were visually and mechanically identical:
Same motor housing
Same wiring and connector
Same rubber protective cable sleeve
Same blade design and mounting points
Even the weight and internal components appeared to be the same. The only difference was that Mishimoto had added a branded aluminum plate – which, interestingly enough, fits perfectly on the Biltema fan as well.
I ran both fans in a side-by-side airflow (CFM) test, and the results were identical.
No performance gain. No noise reduction. No quality difference.
It’s clear that these are low-cost fans rebranded under the Mishimoto name and sold at a significantly higher price point.
