This is a fun port of the 80's arcade game Popeye. As a game, Popeye is a lot of fun. This game features three levels. The first has Olive Oil, the love interest of Popeye, receiving hearts as they fall from Olive to Popeye. Bluto, the muscle bound bully, tries to get ahold of Popeye and turn him into a pretzel since he also likes Olive. He and another villian type work to hurl cans at Popeye as he navigates up and down the platforms to catch the falling hearts from Olive.
The second screen, same thing, but this time it is night time and Olive is standing on top of a building singing and Popeye tries to catch the notes to form a song back to Olive.
The third level is on the ship of the Sea hag, who has captured Olive and tied her to the top of the mast of the ship. As she yells for help you catch the letters of the word "HELP" to form a latter to save Olive. All the while still avoiding Bluto. But in each level you can grab a can of spinach which makes Popeye temporarily strong enough to punch Bluto's lights out.
Really a lot of fun. Punching the cans thrown at you can be tricky since the hit register seems to be a little off, so my advice there is just manuever to avoid the cans whenever possible. That is the only negative. This is a fun fun game. :D The 5200 and 800 versions are as usual practically the same game.

Fireball XL5 (DVD, 2003, 5 Disc Boxed Set)
When I was a kid, my dad handed me a Fireball XL5 plastic toy that a person would fire up into the air and then it would parachute down. Always wondered about that show, but it was no where to be seen in 1980.
Thirty years later, I am finally able to see a show that has not been on the air for more like fifty years. The show is amazing for when it came out, and the details of the production of the show are to be admired.
I've only looked over the first disc, but what was really cute was hearing one of the voice actors as he gave his audio commentary during "The Doomed Planet" and when the episode was over, sang the closing song in various voices. That was too cool.
So if you liked Space 1999, the ship designs were done by the same people. And if you liked Thunderbirds or Supercar, same people did the puppet work. My suggestion, imagine a world prior to Star Trek, and watch this show with the wide eyed amazement of a kid when this show came out. That is what I did last night, and you know, I had a blast. :)

Parker Lewis Can't Lose: The Complete Second Season
Set in the early nineties, this is a show about some buds who take a "no problem" attitude to life and challenges while they enjoy their required time in school. Parker Lewis is the head of the buds with his variety of colorful shirts. Mikey, the tough guy with heart is there, along with Jerry, the man with a jacket that he can pull just about anything out of.
Naturally it is good to watch the first season before watching this, but if you didn't, I doubt you'd be too lost. It is just a fun show, and one that if aren't careful and are distracted by laughing too much, might actually learn a thing or two. :)
