Inexpensive but hardly worth it
I know this item is one of the less expensive benders but I had to mill out the groove to fit 1/2" tubing. The casting is very rough, so I had to sand and polish it, otherwise it would cause severe marring on aluminum tubing. Took a lot of work to make this tool useable.

Not exactly like photo.
Although for most people, the quality of these mirrors is just fine, I had an issue in that they are not exactly like the item in the photo. The photo depicts a mirror which has a removable ferrule on the back side which locks in the ball pivot. That would allow removal and adjustment of the tension on the ball. The mirrors shipped do not have this feature and, therefore, the tension is not adjustable.

Costly, but an original-looking alternative.
I had read positive reviews on this item, however, one service tech told me that they were not very dependable. So...as far as longevity, the jury is still out. Upon installation I am very pleased with the original-style appearance. Even though this was much more expensive than an alternator/generator swap, I just couldn't have my classic car sporting an alternator. Just doesn't look right. So, I bit the bullet and went for the PowerGen. Upon start, it's charging at a nice 14.5 volts. I followed the instructions and installed a heavy gauge ground wire to the engine block, in addition to the small (14ga) original ground wire. I gutted the original voltage regulator and used the tabs just to mount and join the wires...so it all looks 1957. Modified the back plate a little and added a spacer in the front bolt hole to mount to the original bracket.
