Stratoliner premier open crown
I spent hours searching eBay and other sites for a vintage stetson. I just had to have that quality and style from "back in the day". Problem is, those vintage hats can run hundreds of dollars, like even 1000$ and more. I tried the new strat, didn't like the fit or bash. They sat too high. Then I read about the open crown premier strat. Made sense to me. Put your own bash and style in. I got one and man, it is a nice hat. I love the feel of the leather sweat band, and quality fur. I love the subtle western styling with the thin band and brim trim. Wear it like a fedora with a D crown or squeeze it into an Open Road look. I got it in caribou and was so pleased I had to order a silverbelly. So if you want a special hat that you cant wait for occasions to wear, buy this one!

Monarch 7
3 of 3 found this helpful They are very nice viewing the night sky. The coated ed glass and prisms make a huge difference in low light. Construction seems top notch but as many other owners have said, the top cover is loose and stays on only if it is under tension and isn't bumped. Have not used them in the field yet but obviously won't be satisfactory untill I find a better way to carry them. The case provided has a belt loop and a cheap Velcro fastener. The strap is just ok but the plastic lens cover is retained by it and is totally in the way when using the bino's. Like in your teeth. These are minor problems I guess, but being the most inexpensive parts, why not improve them? They haven't changed from the first model? One last thing, the 10× are very hard to keep steady without a tri/monopod. I knew this from experience and read many reviews that people found out the hard way. If you only want to use your bino's in hand, get the 8× .
For the most part I'm happy and proud to own the Monarch 7

Pop up privacy
The pop up tent arrived quickly and in good condition. I had to deploy it as soon as it arrived and it is so easy and quick!. I struggled with repacking it for 15 minutes before I went to the Internet, where I found several you tube videos. It is simple once you figure out the movement required to essentially fold itself to a nice round package that has its own carry bag. Seems to be well made but time will tell. I'm sure it will be a valuable item in my camping arsenal. A private shower/toilet in the wilderness. Awesome!
