Onyx satellite is a standard interface for any level of recording artist
1 of 1 found this helpful For me this interface is one of the best old one's out there,
the preamps are perfectly clear and sensitive, enclosure is rugged and solid like a military device, you have many options when you have it stationed on the base: 6 outputs, line in, guitar in, XLR or trs type connection, two headphones control knobs, etc. Firewire connectivity is very reliable and better than usb for my tastes. There's even a talkback mic for when you have a separate room for the person recording. Overall i just love it, i choose it over lexicon, presonus, tascam and all those brands that couldn't make a good A/D converters. Plus no drivers required makes it excellent.
