Bug deflector?

While the one I received was not the color I ordered, the clear one they sent is fine. I do not understand why they call it a "bug shield" or a "bug deflector". The layer of dead bugs on my windshield is consistent in thickness from top to bottom and left to right, just as it did before it was installed. I noticed the same thing with rain and mist, It does, however, protect the leading edge of the hood and the fender tips.

USED Radio Shack 20-285 Headset for race scanner

My was used, and defects were listed, EXCEPT for the faulty plug on one headset (the same one that has the faulty speaker). Headset goes dead if the plug in is not held properly/
