Wow, what a difference!
1 of 1 found this helpful I have a 1999 S10 with the 2.2 engine and 5 speed. The truck has 103K miles on it and the shifter was very sloppy, I was constantly hunting for 3rd and 4th gears while driving. This new shifter just visually is far superior to stock, as the bushings and fulcrum are steel rather than nylon. It bolted right in and the shift lever threaded on perfectly. WOW, it just clicks into each gear effortlessly and has ZERO slop. Every gear is right where you expect it. Best $ I have spent on my truck.
