Good all-around rope for a great price.
0 of 3 found this helpful This rope has a good hand, knots easily, and unties easily. It is also easily spliced relative to other 16 strand arborist ropes. The cover is a bit more loosely braided, which helps make splicing easier. I haven't used it enough yet to comment on how well it wears or if milking is significant. I like it for climbing, and for the price it's a bargain for use in rigging or general use.
If it holds up well for long term use and doesn't milk too badly, I'll probably get a longer hank of it.

Not a double braid construction.
It seems like a decent rope. It's stiff, but should hold a knot pretty well. It's got a good, tight braid for the outer sheath, but the core is not braided. This is definitely NOT double braid construction. I think the type of construction is called marlow braid. The core consists of 26 strands in twisted pairs (13 pairs). I wanted to put a spliced eye in one end using a Class I splice for double braided rope. Now to do it I need to find (and learn) the correct technique for this type of rope construction. Frustrated.
