Engine Project.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have a stock 460 eng. from a 1979 F-350 that I'm rebuilding to install in a 1977 F-250 4x4. The machine shop cost to machine cast iron cylinder heads, install hardened seats, valve guide work, new valves and valve spring replacement cost between $800.00 to $900.00. When there done all you have is stock cast iron set of heads with a large combustion camber and all the weight that goes with cast iron. These cylinder heads are over kill for my use but there a better value for the price along with the push rod guides, cylinder head studs and the roller rockers.
