Easy to assemble and what you see is what you actually receive
1 of 1 found this helpful Product was easy to assemble, but there is apiece that I put in backwards. The diagram should show which side is up or down. Of course, I put bottom piece upside down the I had to figure out where I should put the feet. It still worked fine, but as soon as I went to put the feet on is when it dawn on me that the reason for those two strips on the bottom piece were to be as guides for the back and front pieces. Duh... But it all fit together just fine anyway.
Seven of my cats are pretty large (between 10-15 lbs) and two are on the smaller side (5-8 lbs). My larger cats are too large for it. I wish it was 3+ inches larger the whole way around then my other cats might be interested in it. My smaller cats have not paid too much attention to it...yet. I don't know if it because I'm not in the room where one sits, or if they don't care for it. I purchased and cut down bath mats to cover the wood floors and I'm hoping that will entice them into their cute new home. If it it doesn't then I will give the other one away to a cat sanctuary for their use.
The roof is made with real shingles - nice. However the wood is light-weight (~30 lbs total). Depending on where you live, it would help keep your outdoor kitties dry, but not warm in winter.
I would recommend it to folks that have small indoor cats AND would recommend it to folks that have small outdoor cats that have mild winters (NO freezing temperatures)!
