Excellent value: Icing on the cake of my homemade surround system
My home theater system is cobbled together from disparate pieces. I needed a center channel speaker that is sold stand-alone (not in a package). For regular TV and movies, dialogue is dramatically more understandable. For music, lead vocals and instruments pop out, and lyrics are clearer. My surround receiver puts out 100 watts per channel; the speaker's sound hasn't distorted at very high volume, but its output seems to plateau before my main speakers...that's why I gave the unit four stars...still, the headroom is darn good for the price.

Sealed against the weather, blows against heat & bugs
I put this on my deck here in the South. Now, I can be outside a lot more. The lowest speed is pretty strong, the highest, "gale force." Even on low, the fan keeps most insects away and provides heat relief. Construction and weather-sealing seems heavy duty.

Excellent value for home bike mechanic
1 of 1 found this helpful This is not as heavy as a pro shop stand, but who wants that when you take it down after each use? It's sturdy enough, and it folds up quickly, too. The clamp mechanism can be a little awkward but works fine. Both of my bikes have over-sized aluminum tubes and the clamp handles those well. At this price, the home mechanic is hurting him/herself not to have a repair stand.
