Little surge protector does a lot of things

It swivels so you can still use the 2nd outlet, especially important if your lower outlet is wired to operate with a wall switch. You can plug the Belkin into the top outlet and still operate the bottom outlet with the wall switch. The LED light is not so bright that it can't be used in a bedroom. You can charge 2 phones/tablets simultaneously. Oh, and it is also a surge protector, good as backup even if you have a whole house surge protector.
