Nice looking antenna and easy to install and tune.
3 of 3 found this helpful I like the antenna, but I can't see where I have better gain or noise suppression that my Workman UV200 dual band vertical. It is a relative measurement, but I am not sure this antenna is doing anything better for me. It does seem to work fine and you can tell it is directional as compared to the vertical... but pointing in the direction of the target repeaters... it gets there the same it seems.
I have mine mounted with a vertical polarization as I am not using AM/SSB modes. I am just using FM for voice and packet.

2 of 2 found this helpful This is the second unit I have bought from Reliable Power (12VDC 1500W Pure Sine Wave Inverter). In both cases, the inverters were shipped and arrived promptly. I have been using the first inverter for a year now with no troubles. I bought the second inverter as a backup when I travel since the inverter runs my refrigerator and some important electronic devices. Given I plan to be in remote places, I don't want to be without. I probably won't need the backup anytime soon judging from the way it works now; however.
After testing the output of the most recent purchase with a 1500W heat gun for a minute to ensure capacity to deliver power, I opened the second unit up by taking off the cover. I wanted to inspect it to see if it was made well. It appears well made with a thick PC Board and very large traces for carrying current. The heat sinks are large and the transformers look to be heavy duty. The newest inverter is packaged back up and standing by for use if the first unit should fail while I am traveling.
Note that the workmanship on assembly and soldering appears to be excellent.
I would not be afraid to purchase another if needed or recommend to someone. The value is based on the overall quality and price combination . For that reason, I rank this five stars. I took a risk buying this brand not knowing anything about it. I am glad I did so far.
