Sony ICF-M260 AM/FM PLL Synthesized Clock Radio with Digital Tuning & Alarm New

Excellent compact radio.

Excellent compact radio with very good sound for it's size. Sensitivity in both AM and FM is excellent. If you are in the Americas, you need to change the tuning step from 9 kHz to 10 kHz. The instructions are in the owners manual, it is simple to do. The radio will then receive all stations properly. I believe this has a 4 inch internal ferrite rod antenna for unusually good AM reception for a compact. Simply turn the radio to face the radio stations transmitter to maximize reception (as is the case for all portable radios). Extend rod antenna for better FM reception if necessary. Does not auto scan for stations. Displays time in military 24 hour format. Worth every penny. I bought two, might buy three.
