Not satisfied with its claim to lift 180 kg
1 of 3 found this helpful The claim that it will lift 180 kg needs some explaining because in practise I tried to lift 134 kg and struggled to lift it with a small dia bit of string! it was painful even with gloves on. The principle of using 3 pulleys to lift larger weights is sound but the size and construction of this unit makes it a toy and not for serious consideration.
The safety aspect of this "hoist" is without doubt a hazard as there is no brake or means of stopping your 180 kg from crashing to the floor as the string is too small to grasp.
The name Mannesmann is a respected name in engineering circles of which I have been in for 45 years, Im not sure that this is from the same stable.

Great Product
Great product but let down by lack of information, i.e. Setup, operation and software. But it's great value.
