Great little emergency radio for emergencies and backpacking...
4 of 4 found this helpful My review is based on using this when camping / backpacking. Two features that I required were size / weight and the radio using an 18650 battery. This radio is 10.5 ounces, which is a little heavier than some other radios of this size, but the build quality is very good. The size is 6.5" x 1.875" x 2.75". Great size for backpacking. It has a micro usb input for charging - you can either use a computer, a wall plug, a battery bank or a solar charger to charge it. Once charged, leaving it near a window will keep it fully charged. That is really all the solar panel is for, I don't know if it would ever fully charge the battery. The reception is good on all three bands. The audio quality is not great, however, it does have a 3.5 mm audio jack. I use it to connect a good bluetooth speaker if using for listening to music. While it does use an 18650 battery, it has a plug on it to connect to the radio, so you can't use just any 18650 battery. I will modify my radio so that it will use any 18650 battery. There are videos on YoutTube showing how to do this. So for emergency use and for backpacking, this is a great radio for me.
