Not Great, but Pretty Close
1 of 1 found this helpful An excellent collection of remixes from The Swing, it's great to see the Australian Dekadance cassette commercially issued on vinyl for the first time! It's a high quality, heavy vinyl pressing that sounds great, although it's standard black, not colored vinyl, as stated on the hype sticker. Dekadance also includes Jackson, a great Country song that I don't think is available anywhere else. However, the version of Jackson on this release is not the same as the original cassette. Prior to the song kicking in, the cassette contains a collage of sounds that runs for nearly five minutes. The collage contains underwater sounds, snippets from what sounds like a 50's recording of how to write a hit song, and lots of other odds and ends. The collage is missing on the vinyl release, and there's just a standard segue from What I Say into Jackson. There's more than enough space to include the collage on Side 2, so I'm confused as to why it's been edited out. This might not matter to most fans, but I was expecting the vinyl to be a faithful reproduction of the cassette. It nearly is, but not quite. Hence, four stars instead of five.

A Great Complement to Duran Duran's Rio LP
Beautiful multicolor vinyl pressing, with the vinyl quite thick and perfectly flat, with no scratches or pops when played. Sound engineering is very good, and although only "Made in Germany" is stated on the label, this might be from the Pallas pressing plant, one of the best in the world. The record wasn't cheap, but you'd have to buy multiple versions of 1983's original Carnival EPs to collect all the tracks, and they probably wouldn't sound this good.

Good filter, made in the USA!
I've used these for several years now and really like them. They seem to filter the water every bit as well as the "name brand" filters I used to buy at Sears, but at a fraction of the price. I also like that they're made in the USA, and even contain a tiny tube of lubricating grease for the rubber seal.
