Perfect
1 of 1 found this helpful When I switched it on, I was sceptical because there was no noise at all coming out of it (similar products reviewed on YouTube do make the noise). Then I just did a little experiment... Took two magnetised screws, treated them with this product as per instructions and it worked well, none of the screws were magnetic after the treatment.

Does the job
It came with a thin power cable/lead which reminds me on a signal cable, not something I would comfortably plug into a 230V socket so I've replaced it with a properly thick cable with an EU plug.
The insides are nicely done. There is a mechanical timer, a switch, a small PCB and a long UV lamp above the drawer in which you place EPROMs to be erased.
When the timer turns off, it also turns off the UV lamp even when the switch remains in ON position.
I was worried about the ozone because I've read about previous models that they're producing lots of ozone but I can't smell any ozone when this unit is working. I can usually sense the ozone even when other people don't so believe me, I would sense it if it was there.
This product does the job perfectly, it erases everything (27128, 27C128, 27C256) I put into the drawer in about 5 minutes or less.
If you need an EPROM Eraser and are still undecided whether to get this one or not, go for it. It's a great device.

Not sure about 2000 mA rating
1 of 1 found this helpful Needed replacement PSU for my Commodore 1541-II disk drive. The label on this adapter PSU says it outputs both 5V and 12V at 2000 mA each while 1541-II needs only 700-800 mA on 5V and 12V rails so this one looks like a perfect match, right? Well, yes and no. This adapter PSU does work after rewiring the connector (1541-II has different pinout), no electrical issues so far, but it's running very hot, over 50 degrees Celsius in some spots. I'm pretty sure it would melt if you'd put a 2000 mA load on it.
