High quality and easy install
This is a really high quality product and super easy to install. You don't have to drill holes in your fairing. Who would want to do that anyway? There are no off set accessory brackets to install as in other kits. Just make sure you use the proper torque values on the frame sliders; these are motor mount bolts.
Some say that the frame sliders are too close to their knees. This is only true if you are really tall and if your are that tall, what are you doing on an R3?
If you really wanted to knit pick, you could say that these frame sliders stick out more than other types. However, that could be a good thing in terms of providing crash protection - which is the point right?

Near perfection! Be aware of two minor installation issues.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is my 3rd aftermarket fuel tank purchase and I can say that it fit like a factory tank. I can't say that about the previous tanks that I purchased. The factory fuel pump fit in the same position as stock - no rotation was required. The factory radiator shrouds also fit perfect without any bending or modification. There were only 2 issues with installation: 1) If you have an aftermarket radiator guard with a brace, you will have to modify or remove the brace. This isn't the manufacturer's fault - they made the tank for an otherwise factory setup. 2) The button head that fits on the tank and holds the front of the seat in place has to be ground on 1 side or the seat won't slide into place. This is a small thing but it's something that should be fixed by IMS - not everyone has a bench grinder and it holds the product back from an otherwise glitch free install.
