Compact, quick, has duplex. Mac software has limitations.

This scanner is quick and scans in duplex at a speed of around 30 pages per minute. It is quick to start up. It is a wired model, which for me is a plus as I have had connectivity troubles in the past with wireless MFUs. Bundled Mac software is easy to set up, but has limitations compared to Windows version: no OCR, not able to program hardware buttons on the unit. Not a deal breaker though!
